“The First Rosa: The Rosa J. Young Story”

Made it’s first appearance in the form of a Movie Trailer.

The First Rosa Movie Trailer was introduced by Susan Hill, and then played for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Black Ministry Convocation audience in Houston Texas, July 8-11, 2010.  The movie trailer produced by State of Grace Productions is approximately seven minutes long and is an overview of Rosa Young’s accomplishments.

Rosa Young was portrayed by Casaundra Freeman who helped bring to life the words of Rosa Young from her Autobiography “Light in the Dark Belt” which is printed by Concordia Publishing.  The St. Philips Choir sang “Give Me Jesus” an inspirational song that was the impetus of the movie project, and Rev. Roosevelt Gray portrayed the Speech Giver who gave a synopsis of Rosa’s lifetime mission.
